Material Girls

Today, I am featuring a great article from the blog entitled Material Girls. The two authors, Lauren and Emily have focused many of their blog posts on modern outlet shopping and the joys of finding beautiful modern furniture on a budget. Today's post doesn't exactly fall into the category of 'bargain shopping' but it doesn't hurt to look and it's an excuse to get inspired! The 'Material Girls' took a trip to Stacy Hyde, a well-known antique and luxury home accessory retailer located in Dallas, Texas. Her line features beautiful and unique home furniture, lighting, linens, and tabletop accessories with modern design in mind. During their visit, they were able to spot some unique finds that would dress up any room in your home!

Sunburst and convex mirrors will add instant pizzazz to any room. The shape and style of each mirror can help draw attention to the center of a bedroom, living room, or dining room and will create the illusion of space.

While each piece in this photo is beautifully designed, the truly extraordinary pieces are the two black lamps. The intricate complexity of these interior lamps makes for the perfect decorative accessory.
If there is one color that can sum up this sunny, warm season, it has to be the freshness of spring green. In addition to the refreshing green finish, the design of this side chair cushion brings style and beauty to any space.

Finally, the girls spotted a beautiful brass table lamp that is intricate in design and shape. The spherical form of the lamp can add excitement and a fun dimension to any neutral room.

If this is luxury, give me cheap. These items are awful. I've seen classier stuff at the Salvation Army.

As for me, I like these samples very much. Here one sees why professional interior designer is needed as opposed to the task of merely re-decorating premises. From what I can see, the furniture in every case corresponds to the entire concept, which personally I feel very well through these pictures.
