Handmade Jewelry From Me to You

August is wrapping up and summer is soon to be over as we head into my favorite season of the year, autumn! With that being said, it’s been difficult for me to find any clothes that I’m truly in love with since summer is fading and the season is creeping up on us. I’m in a confused state of fashion which is why I have turned to jewelry and accessories lately to mix and match my current wardrobe. In a few weeks sundresses, flip flops, and Bermudas are going to be packed away but jewelry will remain on my dresser. Accessories stay out year long while the more seasonal items get used to their multi-month hibernation in the attic.

Etsy is a wonderful site that serves as a cyber marketplace for all things handmade. My favorite section of the site is the ‘Showcase’ where each artist features a small collection of their favorite designs and from there you can navigate to the designer’s main Etsy page to see it all. Handmade items are a great way to own something creative and original that no one else has. It feels special and acts as a great gift either to yourself or to a loved one. From art, handbags, decorated journals, ceramics, crochet accessories, glass housewares, kids’ toys, and woodworking, Etsy has everything under the sun from A to Z, well at least to ‘W’. So far, it stops at woodworking but I imagine this list will continue to grow. I’ve already picked out a few of my favorites from Magpie Collections to bring life back to my wardrobe again!
