Are you planning to purchase a condo? That is a big step you have made and requires considerable investment. You should note that the costs of an average condo keep on increasing. Although that creates a good investment opportunity, it also requires the need to make the right decision. Therefore, you need to know the difference between good and bad condo. The following are signs to spot a bad condo.

Bad Online Condo Reviews

condo apartmentIt is a good idea to use the experiences of people who have lived or live in the condo you want to purchase. That can help you judge whether this will be the right investment for you. For instance, you can get an idea of the property from people who have lived there rather than from those who want to sell you the condo. You can find reviews for OLA showflat and other condos. Moreover, there are useful resources available you can use.

Airbnb Rentals

Although this should not be the only factor to consider, it is vital to note that there is a correlation between the presence of Airbnb rentals and a bad condo. Condos that have flexible AirBnB policies are less happy. It is no wonder those who come and stay for a few nights are less concerned about using the property. That is because they can be noisier, messier, and more destructive as compared to neighborhood condo owners.

Bad Security

condo livingIt is a good idea to check the security of a building and the unit. How easy is it to access the building? How easy is it to access your potential unit? Does the security team seem to be doing its work? If anyone can easily access the condo, security staff are not verifying guests, or the door is not locked properly, then chances of something bad happening are higher.

Elevator Appearance

The condition of elevators should give you an idea about the quality of a condo. Vandalized and scratched elevators are signs of poor condo management. That is the case if the building is new with elevators that appear to have had many years of service.

High Levels of Noise

Try to visit the condo during evening hours when most owners will be at home. That will give you an idea of whether your would-be neighbors are noisy. If your unit is located close to an elevator, it is worth to test whether you can hear the elevator from your unit. If so, you are likely to regret in the future.
